SAFAS CORPORATION'S 2004 COLOR PALETTE
November 2004 - Clifton, NJ - Safas Corporation adds a new Chip2 design line to its existing collection of dynamic colors. The new colors consist of ten rich and beautiful GALAXY GRANULES™ granite designs that incorporate the new chip-in-chip granules. These designs are the closest to the look of real granite. Furthermore, the eight individual chip-in-chip granules are available to manufacturers who want to create their own designs. Safas has also added five new colors, to its existing Galaxy Alexander and Galaxy Nury design lines for both the GRANICOAT® and GALAXY GRANULES™ product lines.

GRANUSIL TO UNDERGO PRODUCT NAME CHANGE
DECEMBER 2002 - Clifton, NJ - Effective December 2002, Safas Corporation will be changing the name of our granite-look silicone caulking material known as Granusil to Safasil™. Safasil™ is color coordinated with all of our Granicoat® and Galaxy Granules™ designs and allows you to provide that extra bit of service to complete the perfect look of the kitchen or bath installation. It will continue to be the same high quality product that you have used under the Granusil name and it will be available in all of the same colors. There are over 100 standard Granicoat and Galaxy Granules designs.
Why are we changing the name? That is an excellent question. It was brought to our attention that Unimin Corporation sells ground silica fillers that have the registered trademark for the name Granusil. Even though these products are not in any way similar or targeted at the same end use application we are choosing to respect the wishes and the trademark of Unimin Corporation.
Safasil™ will be packaged in the same distinctive orange and white cartridge as before and the new Safasil label will be placed over the Granusil name. This temporary fix will be in place until we exhaust our current inventory of pre-labeled cartridges.
This notice should provide ample time for you to make the changes in your purchasing and inventory systems before the switch over date. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter and for your continued purchases from Safas.

SAFAS CORPORATION SUCCESSFULLY HOLDS ITS FIRST SAFASTONE™ SYSTEM WORKSHOP
DECEMBER 2002 - Clifton, NJ - In August of 2001, SAFAS Corporation successfully held its first SAFASTONE™ SYSTEM workshop. After several years of development, SAFAS has created a system to offer fabricators to build counter tops primarily targeted to the residential kitchen market. The system is comprised of proprietary, patent pending processes and materials and is based on the patented GRANICOAT® sprayable solid surface technology. A series of materials, in combination with a core material, will be used in the fabrication process. Certain materials and the process technique will only be available to Recognized Fabricators. A Recognized Fabricator will be an entity that sends representatives to the SAFASTONE™ three-day workshop, where all aspects of the process will be taught including:
- Field Measuring/Template Cutting
- Mold Setup Counter top Fabrication
- Special Effects (e.g. inlays)
- Finishing
- Installation
Recognized Fabricators will enjoy extensive technical and marketing support from SAFAS. The GRANICOAT® name will continue to be nationally advertised and promoted by the company, which will afford the fabricator a valuable marketing opportunity.
